![]() ![]() Just a few videos back I showed off the iPhone 13/Pro/Pro Max Apple. I guess it bothers me when people say incorrect things very loudly or confidently. Today I've got a video to show you how to Patina your Apple Magsafe Leather Case at home. I am looking inward asking myself, why am I spending my free time pointing out someone's inaccuracies on instead of doing something productive. Man your photos prove this is not the case. I think what we can say is, ESR is marketing their case a certain way, but not falsely advertising or lying, and (unsurprisingly) they are using a cheap leather to keep costs low. But it's easy to tell from your own pictures that your conclusions aren't accurate. There’s definitely a difference between the 12 leather cases and previous iterations. ![]() There is such a thing as crappy top grain leather and looks like that is what ESR is using.įwiw I have no plans on getting near an ESR case, just like all these cheap cases it looks like junk to me. Google iPhone leather case patina and you’ll see how different it looks on the previous versions. It's really common for cheap leathers to have a cheap finish even if they are top or full grain so I'm not sure why you think that is evidence of it being a "painted suede" of all things. The ESR Real Leather Case is a simple, slim case constructed of real black leather. I'm not sure where you are getting all this "painted suede, fake leather" stuff from, it's clear they are using a real albeit low quality hide. The Apple leather case develops a natural patina over time that may reflect the magnetic ring if you use the MagSafe charger. The texture is from the leather being tumbled, it doesn't look "pressed in" and it would be hard to press in such a random looking texture anyway. I guess it bothers me when people say incorrect things very loudly or confidently.įrom your dissection there of the ESR case it looks like a cheap low-quality top grain tumbled leather with a color finish, which is not unexpected at this price range to be honest. Interaction with MagSafe accessories will leave slight imprints (as shown in the last image of the gallery). Leather is a natural material and like a fine leather belt, it may show creases, marks, or a patina over time. Look bad IMO cuz not the whole case patina, disappointed, if I can pick again I will go for the green or midnight. : Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max Leather Case with MagSafe - Golden Brown : Cell Phones & Accessories. The edges of the case patina are lot but not the back of the case. The colour look a lot like pumpkin or orange than the box or photo on apple. The main take away is that if I wasn't so in love with patina, and if you didn't make such beautiful leather goods, I would have no tangible way of remembering this experience.Click to expand.Man your photos prove this is not the case. I have been using it the day it launched. I know it's a personal story that you don't have much vested interest in. Did having the belts motivate me to keep moving when things got tough? Hell yes. Would I have lost all this weight without the belts? Probably, I had a lot of other influencing factors in my life 4 months ago that pushed me to change. Only on the 2nd hole right now but it's been a huge confidence booster, and it gives me more motivation to lose the last 10-15lbs to get to my goal weight. Well, I'm happy to admit I'm down about 30lbs (13kilos) and I finally fit into those belts. It was a reminder of who I was and who I wanted to be. They were intentionally bought 2 sizes too small with the thought that I would lose the weight and it would be a motivational tool.Ĭonsequently, I put those belts somewhere I would see them everyday. I also like the new leather link bands over the original. I have the midnight currently from Apple and missed-out with ordering the Black leather link from Amazon. "I think it was during your 5 year anniversary sale that I purchased two belts. I just wish Apple would introduce more colors. ![]()
