The storyline would remain the same, with the only difference that you would play one role and your sidekick plays the other. So whichever role, you chose, your sidekick would choose the other. and maybe there would be another npc sidekick. Like he might have suggested that there be both characters running around. perhaps you could have had the option to play either role. So when the guy offers to "let" you play the role of the silver shroud, to fight post apocalyptic crime. In that story, both of them work together. there is the silver shroud and there are also the mistress of mystery. So it doesnt matter what their gender is.īy 2 versions of the quest, I meant more like.Įxample : in the radio broadcasts you hear in game. Therefore they already know there is someone is acting. A woman can make her voice deeper and sound like a man at a degree.īut people already know that it is an old story and he cant come back from the grave even he lived once. It doesnt matter if you are a male or a female, you are just "acting like" him. So in the game you are "pretending" like you were him, but actually you are not him. Because silver shroud is a man in that story. Originally posted by Zes:I think there shouldnt be 2 versions of that quest. making a 3d model is not a simple task for any game The mesh gives the shape and tne texture the lookĪnd no befhesda did nothing special to make it hard. The texture is what is wrapped onto the 3d mesh. Making a new texture is easy, making a good new mesh is hard. I do know, I'm not willing to put the work in, I'll just play with the stuff other people made, thank you very much. I guess there's something in the code that bethesda put in there to make it difficult for people to create original brand new textures? or perhaps nobody wanted to put the work in to do more than modify existing object, i dunno. It's too bad it seems that all the clothing mods are just variations and palette swaps of the the existing vanilla clothes, or they just take the vanilla clothes and remove some fabric or something. the items have the same stats as other stuff in game, except they are also compatible with the weaves. I downloaded mods for "fashionable" clothes and wigs I could put on my characters. example : there's only like.4 hats in the game compatible with it. Originally posted by Femaiden:I know I'm going off topic again and this thread is already old, probably did not need to be woken up.Īll the ballistic weave compatible stuff, did not appeal to me. Maybe even better, they could have given you the choice of playing either role, whether you play as a male or female, that might be funny the other way around, the male pretending to be the Mistress of Mystery, lol. Now I wonder what her costume would have looked like. they even make a mention of a costume complete with a brunette wig and everything. The lore in Hubris Comics even talks about the fandom and how important it was for the shroud and the MoM to look and sound a specific way. Like, they could have had 2 versions of the quest based on wheter you are male or female and have females dress up as the Mistress of Mystery(MoM) instead. I feel like there was more that they could have done with this storyline. Or maybe it doesn't matter because after she kills the guy, the only evidence left behind is the calling card and that's what builds the rep and reinforces the local legend? I guess that's supposed to be the joke, because the whole radio show was so corny, I dunno. and when she "speaks as the shroud" holy crap that is corny.(still better than Christian Bale's Batman voice.) So she's supposed to dress up as the shroud and act like the schroud and kill people in the shroud's name and stuff.īut, how can she expect any criminal to believe she is the "Real" shroud, she doesn't even hide her face in the costume. I know I should not assume gender based on voice alone but hey. in the radio show, he is obviously male with a male voice and talks about having a relationship wih the Mistress of Mystery. It's been established in the lore that the silver shroud is a man. I'm playing a female character and doing the silver shroud quests and, not being sexist here, as I am a female, but it kind of doesn't make sense. I know the game has been out for over a year.
